As opposed to the country of Canada and the American Contract Bridge League of the United States there is no Federal Bridge Association for the country of Mexico. District 16 of the ACBL includes not only the state of Texas in the United States, but also for the entire country of Mexico.
District 16 - District 16 of the American Contract Bridge League consists of most of Texas and all of Mexico. Its members play duplicate bridge in games at clubs and at sectional and regional tournaments within the district.

The following list attempts to present those bridge clubs, whereby the location is within the borders of the country of Mexico. As much information is presented about these bridge clubs as is possible. We are also very appreciative of those bridge club owners and operators for sending information about such sometimes seasonal bridge clubs. Note: Baja California, officially Estado Libre y Soberano de Baja California - (Translation: Free and Sovereign State of Baja California) - is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, comprise the 32 federative entities of Mexico. It is both the northern-most and western-most state of Mexico. Many bridge players reside on this penisula, which separates the Pacific Ocean from the Gulf of California or the Sea of Cortés, and they have joined together to play the game. However, the reader must be aware that from the southern border of California to the tip of the penisula, a distance of 1,060 miles, (1710 kilometers), there are many towns and villages, and many groups of bridge players residing in them.

Note: Rosarito has about 140,000 residents, 14,000 of which are foreigners. With its many condominiums and homes along the coast, it is an ideal location for retirees. Although the expatriates live kilometers apart, from Playas de Tijuana down the coast to Ensenada, there is a sense of community in the area among the residents. There are many community activities, among which bridge seems to be the most popular. For additional information about such activites the website of the United Society of Baja California offers specific details of planned and regular events.
